Sleeping with and showering with your tulpa isn't always lewd
When I talk to Gray in the shower I just ignore the fact he's naked. I'm typically looking at his wonderland form anyway(edited)

bruh Joey is currently using a form of a drawn character in a straight up youtube video because the characters name was also Joey. But rn we both agree that we're lazy and cant think of anything better atm
The nice thing about switching is you can focus on your form naked without having to worry about your host watching in the moment.
I know they'll remember if they think about it immediately afterwards but appreciate your privacy when you get it(edited)

We do not have blackout switching, but Gray does get a break when he switches out. I don't think it's perfect, but when we have a stressed headmate switch out the other headmate switched-in can calm the body down significantly

I don't think it's ideal to plan on using switching as a long-term solution to a problem. While it can work for some, I think it isn't usually effective in addressing the issues causing the system distress.

When I switch out, I feel like I have become a program in the mind. It's weird because nothing feels like it changed (no change in vision, etc), but it seems different because now Ranger is interpreting what we see and feel.
Back to my rambling on switching:
When we switch in, that headmate manifests on an unconscious level. That's part of why our switching is pretty different from some other system's- a headmate in our system can be thinking very little if at all and can still be switched in
reminds me how I was eating dinner and accidentally said "we're going downstairs" instead of "i'm going downstars" They wouldn't have noticed except I corrected it so stupidly they probably think i'm insane and hear voices
After hearing people talk about "becoming" their tulpas, I have a theory that the difference is more about the interpretation of what a host is than the experience itself. It's possible to have our switching even, you would just need different beliefs on how everything works. I like to call the feeling of being alive, feeling your environment, and seeing through the eyes the stream of consciousness or SOC. If you believe that's part of the host, then it may feel like you (the SOC) are becoming the tulpa. We don't believe the SOC is a person, but we do connect to it- which I think is a different interpretation of the same experience.
However, there may be some interesting consequences for seeing the SOC as the host vs believing the SOC isn't a person. If the host is the SOC, maybe the SOC would naturally prefer the "host" identity. Maybe the autopilot won't mold as easily or there's naturally more sharing between headmates. However, you can still believe in a host person and see that as different from you, it's just the collective you.
